The Oracle Tarot By Lucy Cavendish The origins of the tarot deck are as old as the written word: its unique spiritual imagery and use as a tool for insight and prophecy has long been a mysterious part of many different cultures and eras. To emphasise this positive and creative approach, we have revised some of the names of significant cards used in traditional tarot decks. In doing this, the Oracle Tarot has brought this mystical tradition firmly into the 21 st century. Names that were traditionally used for tarot cards reflected the cultures in which they were created; likewise, they were a mirror of their time. Obviously, attitudes, titles and religious beliefs have altered: and accordingly, we have revised the names of some cards within our Oracle Tarot deck. However, action only empowers the cards and your readings, as it brings you closer to their archetypal meaning, and so their insight into truths about human nature and the spirit are even more powerful than before. Overall, the Oracle Tarot can bring you closer to your own spiritual insights, as well as guiding you along life's rocky roads. These cards are ultimately all about listening to your Higher Self, connecting to the Universe, and trusting in your own wisdom. The Oracle Tarot can also help you make better choices and deal wisely with difficult situations.
